I would like to switch to a different antivirus software when my norton expires later next month, but was curious to know of the top rated options out there, which one have people found to work most favorably with Jaws. For example, I am considering the following programs...

Bit Defender
PC - cillin
Panda Titanium

I'm not convinced with AVG and have tried McAfee. I would also like to switch from Norton because it's too much of a resource hog on my laptop.

I would appreciate any feedback anyone can offer.

Thanks...
Cristobal

nod 32 is meant to be good, though if you're a jaws user switch off graphical interface during setup and you should be fine. it's apparently then very accessible, has a good rate of detection too. I'm currently running norton internet security myself.

I definitely agree with Dobbin. Try nod 32. It's great and it does have a good rate of detection. Just a warning, if you do not turn off graphic mode, you won't be able to use it with jaws and you'll have to reinstall it. But if you switch off graphic mode during installation, it should work well. Bye, JoaquĆn

Free av has done well by me (www.freeav.com) though I know some who have had problems with it. I've heard multiple views for nod32 being good as well. Another one to check out is Kaspersi (I misspelled that, so if someone could correct me, it'd be a good thing.) I tried it for a while, and liked it except that it slowed down my email downloading too much for my taste. Hope this helps at least a little.

don't you have to pay for that every year or that regarding nod 32. i think i will check out the other program that was mentioned.
